I'm going to audition for American Idol, hopefully when I'm 19. Right
now I'm 15, a rising sophomore in high school. My question is when you
audition for American Idol, should you use your chest voice or your
head voice? My chest voice is kind of froggy, would that change at all
over time, since I'm only 15? Also, how many more seasons do you think
American Idol will be on? I don't want to wait if there aren't going
to be many more seasons. Sometime this summer I'm also asking for
vocal lessons so I know that will help a ton. But do you think using
one register is better than using the other? Or a balance of the two?
As a bonus, if you know how to growl or wail like Haley Reinhart, if
you include that answer it would be much appreciated!
